A Sad Realization

I've come to terms with certain facts in my life and realized I have to live and accept the following four truths:
1. I will be dead before someone finally gets around to inventing a Lightsaber.
2. I will never be able to hold Penelope Cruz in my arms and sing her a love song.
3. I will never understand women. Specifically, one woman in my life who continues to befuddle my simple mind at every turn.
4. I will never understand the point of The Wicker Man with Nicholas Cage. I just watched the movie on HBO and it really bugged me that I wasted 1 hour and 45 minutes of my precious television watching time on that crap.
Damn you Nick Cage. Damn you.

As always, its been a busy couple of weeks. Since I got back from the Capital Case Defense Seminar in Monterey, I've been working on 4-5 trials and it seems that the investigation train is still rolling strong with what appears to be a very busy March and April.

For any of you who got to know Greg Worthen through Public Defender Stuff, or the Public Defender Investigator Network, I am happy to say that I was able to meet him in Monterey. No, I didn't wear a mask (although I should have) and we were able to share a few drinks together at The Mucky Duck.

For the record, he is doing very well and looks NOTHING like I imagined, not in a bad way though! Isn't that always how it is when you meet people you feel like you know
but never met in person?
Some of you reading this ALSO might know that Greg is an investigator AND photographer so I was excited to get an email from him with a few photographs he took while at the conference. I'm only going to share a couple and the other I want to keep for myself...in fact I'm thinking about printing it out and sticking it in a nice frame...maybe even get an autograph from the man himself!

Anyhoot, nothing much new to report on. More later.

I actually kinda liked Wikerman, even though it was a scene-for-scene remake of the original.

Is that you and Greg in the water? You're right. You don't look like I imagined you.
