Defense Investigator Charged With Rape

In a sad story out of Riverside County in Southern California, an ex-Public Defender Investigator with the Riverside Public Defender's office is on trial...accused of rape.
Of course I want justice served fairly in this case but I'm hoping that he is acquitted of the charges against him. If you're a friend or just someone who is curious about how the trial is going, you can review the Case Report Here and searching by case number: SWF023049 .

***NOTE: I started this post last week...I will follow-up with the outcome of the trial in another post.***

You say you want Justice served, but also want him acquitted in the case. That seems to be problematic. How would Justice be served if he was acquitted and he actually committed the crime?

Have you contemplated that he may have actually done it? I'm just throwing it out there. I firmly believe that if you take a position and back it up, then take the consequences.

I think you are assuming that in order for me to want justice to be served, that he must be found guilty?

Justice will be served if he receives a fair trial...nothing more, nothing less.

Of course he may have done it! I don't know him and I really know anything about the case other than what I've read in the paper.

I don't want to believe that someone who does the work that I do...would be capable of doing something like this to someone else. Simple as that.

Fair enough, I took your Justice served to mean he was to be acquitted, but I like you agree Justice would be served if he gets a fair trial and jury of his peers. That's all he's entitled too. I hope for his sake he didn't do it, because like you I work for the defense at times. I hope the TRUTH prevails.
