I Hope-y This Guy Does A Little Change-y Of His Shirt

I was at the gym last week chugging away on my machine when another member came up and got onto the machine next to me.  Normally I don’t notice people when they move onto machines next to me unless they make a big production out of it.

You know what I’m talking about?

Like deciding where to hang their towel, arranging magazines, dropping water bottles, figuring out where to stick their keys, arranging their phones and iPods, spraying and wiping everything down…that kind of production.

Well this guy stood out because he was wearing a thick, stained and bright yellow sweatband on his head AND the dude reeked of horrific old gym clothes and about a thousand unwashed armpits.  I understand that it’s a gym and I’m not walking through a floral shop but good gawd man, wash your gawd damned clothes!

I wouldn’t expect anyone to go out in public smelling like a giant armpit but for some reason people think its okay to go the gym like that.

Turns out, I’d seen this guy before.  He works at a Deli I go to now and then and last time I went in he was wearing his stinky yellow headband.

I don’t think I can eat any of his sandwiches again.

Anyway.

For all those interested, my partner on the site, Dr. Moreau has posted some great information on the upcoming NDIA Conference in Las Vegas in April of this year and for those of you who are still thinking about it, the Capital Case Defense Seminar in Monterey, California is starting this week (3/12/2010 - 3/15/2010)!  I will be there and depending on my mood will Twitter some of the sessions I plan on attending.

Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices

Here is a useful reference for anyone who owns a car or even knows what a car looks like. This is an authoritative source, put out by the US DOT Federal Highway Administration, for all kinds of information pertaining to roadways and traffic regulation including, signage, lights, signals and color schemes. A search feature powered by Google allows for focused keyword searches. Useful in traffic cases or maybe on JEOPARDY! (I'll take "STOP Signs" for two hundred Alex).
